Warm Sunset builds from deep gold at the centre outward through layers of amber and ochre, a concentrated warmth that reads simultaneously as sky and as something more interior. A cool-toned surround arrived during the making and stayed by decision — it makes the warmth at the heart of the piece luminous rather than simply present. Inspired by the colour field paintings of Mark Rothko, it reduces landscape to temperature and light.
Hand-embroidered in cotton thread on cotton fabric, mounted in a 4 inch beechwood hoop. The backing carries a signed wooden disc, a felt lining, and the monogram, title, medium and year inscribed by hand. Comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. Carefully packaged in acid-free tissue and rigid boxing for safe delivery.
