General

The sales contract is between each individual “seller” and the “buyer”, you. Crafter’s Market UK (CMUK) provides a service to facilitate that contract but is not responsible for it or its fulfilment.

Selling

All vendors agree to abide by the Consumer Contracts Regulations: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2013/3134/contents/made

This legislation protects the consumer when buying over the internet or by mail order. All compliance to this regulation is the responsibility of the seller.

Buying

You are responsible for settling the payment for the items you purchase, unless there is a clear typographical error made by the seller or you are unable to verify the seller’s identity. If you agree to purchase an item, it is your sole responsibility to fulfill the payment to the seller.

Returns Policy

When utilising CMUK, sellers acknowledge that the buyer retains the right to terminate the contract and return the item, even if the item is not defective (in accordance with the consumer rights under UK law). This right can be exercised within 14 days after receiving the items.

A complete refund, inclusive of the initial postage cost, must be issued within 14 days of the seller receiving the returned item(s) or within 14 days of the buyer presenting evidence of the item(s) being returned (such as proof of postage), whichever occurs sooner.

Unless the seller has stated otherwise, the buyer is responsible for paying for the cost of return postage unless the item is faulty.

Please note: Unless faulty, the following categories of items are not eligible for refunds: personalised, bespoke, or made-to-order items tailored to your specific requirements; perishable items that deteriorate rapidly; and personal items sold with a hygiene seal (such as cosmetics or underwear) when the seal is broken.

Cancelling a transaction

If the buyer wishes to cancel the order, they are required to notify the seller either in writing (email is fine) or through the CMUK website.

Sellers are obligated to issue a complete refund, covering the item’s cost and any associated postage expenses, within 14 calendar days of receiving the returned item(s) or within 14 days of the buyer furnishing evidence of the item(s) being returned (e.g., proof of postage), whichever occurs sooner. In cases where the goods have not yet been dispatched, refunds must be processed within 14 days of receiving the cancellation notification.

Return of faulty goods

The consumer has a right to return goods if they develop a fault within six months of receipt of the goods. Depending on the circumstances, they may be entitled to a refund (full or partial), a repair or replacement.

Lost items

If the item is lost in transit then, unless proven otherwise, the seller should assume the contract is terminated and provide a refund or deliver the same item. Please see Citizen’s Advice here.
