2. Marketplace Role

When you buy an item on Crafters Market UK, you are purchasing directly from an independent third-party vendor.

• Each vendor is responsible for their own products, pricing, descriptions, stock levels, dispatch, and customer service.
• CMUK acts as an intermediary platform connecting buyers and sellers.
• CMUK is not the seller of items listed by vendors.

Any contract for the sale of goods is formed directly between the buyer and the vendor.

3. Accounts

You may need an account to buy or sell on CMUK.

You agree to:

• provide accurate information
• keep your login details secure
• notify us if you believe your account has been compromised

We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or misuse the platform.

4. Orders and Payments

Payments

All payments on CMUK are processed securely using third-party payment providers, including Stripe.

When a customer places an order:

• payment is collected at checkout
• funds are processed via Stripe
• payment information is handled by Stripe, not stored by CMUK

Marketplace Payment Flow

For marketplace orders:

• payments are processed into CMUK’s Stripe account
• funds are transferred to the relevant vendor once order fulfilment requirements are met
• CMUK deducts its commission and applicable fees before transferring funds

CMUK does not operate a wallet, bank account, or stored value service for users.

5. Fees and Commission

Vendors agree that CMUK may deduct:

• platform commission
• transaction fees
• any other agreed charges

Fee rates are shown in vendor dashboards or subscription plans and may vary by vendor membership level.

6. Shipping and Fulfilment

Vendors are responsible for:

• shipping items within their stated handling times
• providing accurate shipping costs
• ensuring items comply with UK law

CMUK is not responsible for delivery delays, lost parcels, or customs issues.

7. Returns, Refunds, and Disputes

Returns and refunds are governed by:

• the vendor’s own returns policy
• UK consumer protection law

Customers should contact the vendor first regarding any issue.

CMUK may assist with communication or payment escalation but does not guarantee refunds and is not responsible for vendor decisions unless required by law.

8. Vendor Responsibilities

Vendors must:

• provide accurate product descriptions
• comply with all applicable laws
• fulfil orders promptly
• handle customer communication professionally

CMUK reserves the right to suspend or remove vendors who breach platform rules or harm customer trust.

9. Intellectual Property

All website content, branding, and platform software belong to CMUK or its licensors.

Vendors retain ownership of their own content but grant CMUK permission to display it for marketplace purposes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• CMUK is not liable for products sold by vendors
• CMUK is not responsible for vendor actions, omissions, or failures
• CMUK is not liable for losses caused by third-party payment providers, delivery services, or technical issues

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to CMUK if:

• these terms are breached
• fraudulent or harmful behaviour is detected
• required by law or payment providers

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
