The intention was a paler version of Warm Sunset. What arrived instead was deep reds and oranges blazing in cloud forms against a yellow sky, a lake shore curving along the lower left, a lake surface spreading across the lower right. Two small, pale pink buildings sit at the horizon, almost dissolved by the light. Where Warm Sunset abstracts landscape entirely, Bright Sunset holds onto place — a specific geography, a specific hour.
