Glass Ferns

Fused glass art, cards and gifts handmade by Diane Cawkwell using Bullseye artist glass inspired by nature and my surroundings in Leicestershire. Every piece is unique and individually made.

Bullseye glass is handmade in Portland, Oregon where it is skilfully poured, rolled and shaped into various sheets. The glass is also then made into frits (chunks of glass) stringers/vitrigraph (thin strands of glass) and powders which I use in my art, cards and gifts.

The glass has tiny bubbles in it which are known as champagne bubbles. You may spot the odd bubble or two and this is a beautiful reminder of the handmade product rather than a flaw.

Please note sizing of glass is always approximate. This is because upon firing the glass will spread or contract by a millimetre or two, some pieces are fired multiple times and this can alter the final size.
