I love mudlarking and collecting anything discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. Rivers and beaches, recycling centres, charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. Bits and bobs of times gone by all waiting to find new homes. Found by chance.
Jewellery and Decorations
The idea is to create something new from old. The finished piece isn’t meant to be perfect or highly polished but instead retain part of the original character, including scratches and marks. One of a kind and full of history.
Prints
A collection of black and white images created from photographs taken while mud larking, collecting and taking notice of the everyday. Pictures scanned, enhanced and printed on recycled 180gsm Bristol Board using eco friendly ink.
