Handmade Drop Earrings, One of a Kind, Unique, Eco Friendly Gifts.

I love collecting anything broken, lost or found by chance. There’s a small patch of ground beside the River Tees which gets boggy and drenched during heavy rains. The downpours expose all sorts of broken pot, glass, bits of pipes and wonderful oyster shells.

I found a lovely striking piece of ceramic, partially covered, the bright purple really caught my eye. After a clean I was able to drill holes and shape into earrings. Front and back glaze in tact, the area around the hole is sanded and sealed with eco friendly matt sealant.

Unique, full of history, found by chance on Friday 14th July 2023 and re-created into earrings. Similar in size and shape but not exactly. The finished item is not meant to be perfect or highly polished. Instead retain marks and scratches, part of the original character of the ceramic.

Each earring measures approximately 16mm x 10mm (widest) x 4mm (widest)

Approximate full drop 38mm.
