Image produced from a photograph taken 2nd March 2024. The Market Cross, locally known as The Butter Mart/Market. Snapshot taken at the top of The Bank, with a view of Newgate through the middle of the Mart. Built in 1747, octangular and topped with bell tower and weather vane. Full of history, the weather vane still has two gun shots, fired in 1803, shooting competition between two locals.
Image imported and scanned, printed using thermal ink which gives a slight sheen. Full of texture, unique angle. Original print, one of a kind.
