Iridescent Flower Decorated Bottle Vase
Hand turned , carved and decorated from a piece of apple branch wood, this hollow bottle shaped vase is approximately 22cm (8.25inches) and has a maximum diameter of 8cm 3.25inches).
Inspired to show that by using carving techniques in conjunction with a turned object you can create interesting lines that do not have to follow the ‘circle’ shape of a lathe turned piece.
A partial floral design created using iridescent paints adds to the illusion of a bottle held in a container where as it is in fact a single piece of wood.
The vase is suitable for dried flowers only.
