Those who survive the harsh conditions of the wilderness have little time for small-talk, and so prefer to introduce themselves in simple ways: for example, displaying a trophy they took from a savage beast that made the mistake of crossing their path.

That being said, it’s not usually a good idea to question whether or not the person wearing the trophy is the one who necessarily *earned* it, so they can also be a fashion statement.

This was taken from a regal Griffin, most often found along coastal cliffsides or sunning themselves on beaches. Though solitary by nature, a Griffin can – and will – form a “pack bond” with any creature/s it deems in need of guidance or protection. A Griffin is trusting, but by no means gullible: however they can be deceived, and this is often how they are slain.

Those who wear trophies of a fallen Griffin declare themselves to be untrustworthy, loyal only to themselves, or – if they wear such tokens in remembrance – the complete opposite: unwavering in their loyalty, and with a strong moral code.

Take care how you deal with anyone wearing such a token.
