Dormouse Chopping Board, Solid Oak, 23cm
Meet Dusty. He’s named after the mouse we had to evict from our workshop on Day 1.
Solid British Oak
Each dormouse board is individually handmade from carefully selected British Oak, chosen for its strength, natural grain and appearance.
Our traditional White Oak version is 1.8cm thick and has a substantial feel while allowing us to retain the detail of the dormouse shape.
Because Oak is a natural material, every board will have its own individual grain, colour and character.
Chopping, Serving or Display
Dusty is designed to be both practical and decorative.
Use the board as a:

… Or display it in your kitchen when it’s not being used! That’s why we leave the back blank – one side for chopping, one side for adoring.
The unusual dormouse shape makes it a particularly distinctive piece of handmade wooden kitchenware.
Natural Food-Safe Finish
We don’t use plastics or lacquers.
The board is treated with plant-based worktop oil for deep penetration, followed by citrus oil to enhance the natural colour of the Oak and give it a subtle orange scent.
We use a water-safe, food-contact-approved adhesive where required during construction.
The finish is suitable for food contact when the board is used and cared for as instructed.
Optional Oak & Beech Display Stand
To display your gorgeous Dormouse board so it’s cuteness is inescapable, you can add one of our ornate Oak & Beech hardwood display stands when ordering.
The stand is designed to support the board when displayed on a suitable shelf, worktop or other flat surface. Simply select the Stand option when placing your order.
Handmade in Britain
Life Chopping Boards are handmade in the UK using carefully selected hardwood.
We choose timber for its performance and appearance and celebrate the natural character of the wood rather than covering it with synthetic finishes.

Care:
Wipe clean with a damp cloth only.
Do not put the board in the dishwasher or soak it in water. And please don’t put any actual mice in the dishwasher either. We’re fairly sure they’d object.
