Yorkshire Timber Craft Basic

Using felled timber (Sitka Spruce) in our own woodland in the heart of North Yorkshire, we mill, saw, and shape the timber ourselves into a range of unique pieces that we're proud to share. We hope others will enjoy them for many years to come.

We are a small, family-run business based just outside Masham in North Yorkshire. Around 2010, we were fortunate enough to purchase our own woodland, which had been left unmanaged for over 20 years. To support the healthy growth of the planted trees, we needed to carefully thin the woodland by felling some of the overcrowded trees.

Instead of selling the surplus wood as firewood for log burners, we were inspired to create our own indoor and outdoor products — and so, our journey began.

From milling of the saw logs to making and assembling the final product, all our items are handcrafted by us in North Yorkshire, creating beautiful and thoughtful gifts with a story of provenance..

We are immensely proud to be "Grown in Britain" certified (www.growninbritain.org) a
status only awarded to woodlands which satisfy multiple eligibility criteria, such as having an approved Woodland Management Plan and conforming to the associated standards.
