Those who survive the harsh conditions of the wilderness have little time for small-talk, and so prefer to introduce themselves in simple ways: for example, displaying a trophy they took from a savage beast that made the mistake of crossing their path.
That being said, it’s not usually a good idea to question whether or not the person wearing the trophy is the one who necessarily *earned* it, so they can also be a fashion statement.
These specimens are taken from the vicious but misunderstood Chimaera – a product of Dark Magick and twisted alchemy, the powers of which permeated the creature’s very bones, turning them to mineral-rich stone.
The Chimaera, though fearsome, quick to anger, and certainly a deadly creature, is also known for its intelligence and loyalty. Those who wear trophies of a slain Chimaera declare themselves to be cunning strategists and determined survivors.
