This is one of a pair of elephant designs – both use the same nine wools
The elephants wear colourful trappings, the wools of which are picked out in the simple, but effective borders.
The blankets have a ”woven” pattern and little tassels can be seen hanging down.
The backgrounds are striped and therefore both tapestries are sewn from the right edge to give a neater finish.
