Refund & Exchange Policy
Thank you for shopping at Handmade by Alison! We take great pride in our handcrafted creations and curated craft supplies. Please review our policy regarding returns, refunds, and exchanges below.
1. Handcrafted & Unique Items
Because many of our items are handmade, slight variations in color, texture, shape, and size are a natural part of the crafting process and make each piece unique. These minor variations are not considered defects.
2. Return Window & Eligibility
Timeframe: We accept returns for eligible items within 14 days of receipt.
Condition: Items must be unused, in their original condition, and in original packaging (including tags, if applicable).
Proof of Purchase: A valid receipt or order number is required for all returns and exchanges.
3. Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items
To maintain product quality and safety, the following items cannot be returned or refunded unless they arrived damaged or defective:
Custom & Personalized Orders: Any item made to order, customized, or personalized.
Clearance / Sale Items: Items marked as "Final Sale" or purchased from the clearance section.
4. Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged during transit or has a major defect:
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at [email protected]
Include your order number, a brief description of the issue, and photos showing the damage or defect (including packaging if damaged in transit).
We will gladly arrange for a replacement, repair, or full refund (including shipping costs) at no extra charge.
5. Refunds & Processing
Processing Time: Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will send you an email confirmation. If approved, your refund will be processed within 5–7 business days.
Payment Method: Refunds will automatically be applied to your original method of payment. (Note: Financial institutions may take additional time to post funds to your account).
6. Return Shipping Costs
Customer Responsibility: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item shipped) or the item arrived damaged/defective.
Tracking: We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance for return items, as we cannot guarantee receipt of lost packages.
