Hi, I’m Kat, and welcome to Birdy Baubles.
I have been crafting for a number of years, as a way to stay busy, stimulated and get all that creative energy out. Birdy Baubles has been where several of my interests have collided.
When I was a girl I was a keen birder with my father, an interest that went dormant in my early adulthood. Now I have a daughter of my own that is a keen birder, and has reignited my interest. As her teacher of bird species, behaviour and habitats, my love for the birds in nature around us has been reborn anew, and her enjoyment brings me joy in great measure. Birdy Baubles has been born as her love for Robins led me to crochet a decoration for our Christmas tree. Then came her idea that I could create a number of species of garden bird for our tree. And here we are! She is my inspiration, my cheerleader, and definitely in charge of the ideas!
