Description
The pink robin (Petroica rodinogaster) is a small passerine bird native to southeastern Australia, A quieter species amongst the several found within Australia. They breed in dark, densely vegetated gullies in moist eucalypt forests or cool temperate rainforests, where they build their nests at the end of a moss-covered branches of trees or shrubs. After breeding has finished, they move to drier, more open habitats, where they continue to inhabit dense shrubby undergrowth.
My baubles are made with acrylic yarn, safety eyes and satin ribbon loops for hanging. They are filled with toy stuffing, and are sized at 6-7 cm in diameter. All items are hand made, and there may be some slight variation from bauble to bauble of the same bird species as a result.
