“Violette Flourish” fabulous dangle earrings made with stunning multicolour lampwork glass by Trudi Doherty. These are teamed with amazing polymer clay leaves made by the very talented Helen Backhouse. These leaves have been wire wrapped for security and have both texture and deep colours including purple, green, blue, a hint of gold and verdigris. They match the colours in the lampwork glass perfectly. I have added dainty gold and verdigris beadcaps together with faceted sapphire rondelles and Roman glass to compliment all the colours and pull the design together.
I have used *14K goldfill wire and French earwires for these earrings and all materials used are the finest quality handmade expensive materials. Due to their handmade nature, the size of each earring might be ever so slightly different. The earrings should be stored and worn with care as the polymer clay leaves are delicate. They should not be allowed to get wet and need to be treated as “delicate”. These earrings are lovely and lightweight so no pulled ears and no sore ears due to the expensive goldfill earwires.
The length of these earrings, not including the earwire in the measurement, is 8 cm and the approximate width, at their widest point, is 2 cm. Therefore, these are a pair of earrings that will get noticed and they are definitely not for the “shrinking violets”.
