Turquoise heart pendant on sterling silver rolo chain.
This is a very eyecatching item of jewellery that would make the perfect gift for lovers of the coast for a multitude of occasions. It would also make an amazing gift for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day or for a Birthday. Great to give to a friend or maybe as a treat for yourself?
The pendant is made with a variety of materials including beautiful swirly heart shaped lampwork glass by designer Trudi Doherty in colours that encompass the coast (turquoise, white and silver). This glossy, glitter encased, glass heart has a swirly pattern on the surface of the glass that has a wavelike appearance and this is made by turning the centre of glass whilst it is still hot from being fired. I have also added beautiful pure white crackle quartz and premium brand sparkling crystal to the design, in colours to compliment the cool coastal palette of the glass heart. The pendant is wire wrapped together with the other materials for security and is hung from an 18″ sterling silver rolo chain (that is just over 45cm in length).
The dimensions of the pendant are approximately 3.5 cm in length by 1.5 cm width. All metal used is sterling silver apart from the silver beads and the wire wrapping. These are silver plated to add strength to the design and are in such a location that they should not cause any irritation whilst worn, to anyone who has allergies to lesser metals. The heart shaped glass is of a thickness that will hold itself away from the wearer slightly so only the chain and split ring (all sterling silver) should come into contact with the wearer.
