This design forms part of the Traquair House Chapel Needlework Collection.
Traquair House is home to a wonderful collection of Stuart and Jacobean embroideries. I was commissioned to design a collection of tapestries to celebrate the 900th anniversary of Traquair House. This Pansy Tile Tapestry is a small version of the larger Purple Pansies Tapestry. I was inspired by some of the Stuart Period petit points, which depict the wild hearts’ ease or viola.
These were stitched by a group of volunteers.
Charts and designs are for personal use only. They can not be copied and sold, and finished designs can not be sold. designs can not be incorporated into new designs and sold.
