The Carnelian stone in the Circle pendant is a vibrant, deep red and orange stone. You can find it in Scotland, but this unusual stone comes from Canada.
It gives off a warmth that makes me smile. It reminds me of the comfort of sitting in front of the warm crackling fireplace in my Mum’s old house.
The satin finish silver circle detail in this piece symbolises the enveloping, infinite nature of love and peace that we all possess within us.
The stone is very special as it was formed by a family of lapidary artists in Mexico. My supplier solely uses this family as they can create unique and beautiful cabochons from the mined rocksIt was a fun piece to make, I always try to add a different silversmithing technique to each piece, making them individual and unique.
