Copper wire weave Picture Jasper dangly earrings with Niobium hypoallergenic ear wires
These handmade earrings showcase beautiful, oval, Picture Jasper beads. The wire weaving surrounding them was done using 0.315mm (28 gauge), copper wire. I added highlights of bare copper at the top of each earring, forming the copper into swirls and tiny loops.
After polishing by hand, I oxidised these earrings to give an antique finish, creating a rich colour and showing off the texture of the wire weave.
After polishing again, I used a fine paint brush to apply a liberal coating of Everbrite. This provides protection from tarnish and creates a protective layer between the copper and your skin.
The earrings hang from high quality Niobium hypoallergenic ear wires and are particularly comfortable to wear. Niobium is a metal with remarkably good hypoallergenic properties and is an excellent choice if you have sensitive skin or have had adverse reactions to other ear wires.
