The constant looking at the square roots, and the discussion which can happen from looking at the clock, should help the child remember the square numbers which are important facts to help with maths work. It could also be purchased as a present for a person who has an interest in maths and you are looking for something different.
The clock mechanism is Silent Quartz Clock Movement which has been supplied to myself. You will need to put the hands on the clock, as they may become bent during delivery, it is just a case of pushing each one down in order, starting with the hour hand, then minute, and lastly the second hand. You will also need to provide your own AA battery, as this is not supplied. Clock hands may also vary from the photo.
