Your shop page is the first thing many shoppers see. First impressions matter so make sure you explore these sections to make your shop look it’s best! It is built from a handful of settings, all under Settings, then Store, with the product order and SEO on their own tabs next to it.
Store tab: the basics
- Store Name: shown at the top of your shop and on every product.
- Store Slug: the last part of your shop’s website address. Changing it breaks links you have already shared, so settle on it early.
- Store Description: a few sentences about you and what you make. Line breaks are kept. It also counts towards being featured as a maker in Editor Picks.
- United Kingdom Region: helps shoppers looking for local makers.
- Cover Banner: 1600 by 800 pixels works best. Shop Icon/Logo: 600 by 600, and a square PNG or WebP keeps the edges crisp. JPG, PNG, GIF and WebP are accepted.
- Social Media: paste your Facebook, Instagram and Twitter links to show icons on your shop.
Contact details, and keeping them private
Store Email, Store Phone and Store Address each have a tick box: Show on Store Front. Untick any you would rather keep private. Shoppers can still reach you through Messages, which is what most prefer anyway. The address you put under Invoice Settings is separate and appears only on invoices.
Store Front tab: the order products appear
This tab previews your shop and lets you set the display order. Drag products to reorder them, or use Bring to start and Bring to end, then click Save display order. The order applies to your shop page only; newly published products go to the end until you move them. Put your best sellers and your newest work first.
SEO tab: how your shop looks in Google and when shared
- SEO Title: 50 to 60 characters. Your shop name plus what you make, for example “Hollow Oak Pottery, handmade stoneware mugs”.
- SEO Description: 150 to 160 characters. One sentence that would make a potential customer click.
- Social Media Image: 1200 by 630 pixels. Shown when your shop is shared on Facebook, X or LinkedIn. Leave it empty and your banner is used.
Invoice Settings
Orders that include your products get a PDF invoice. On this tab you can add a square logo, the business address you want printed, and footer text such as payment terms or your returns policy. Line breaks are kept.
Going away?
