Violet Morning moves through deep purple at the outer edge, layering through violet and mauve toward a pale lilac centre. It came into being as a counter-weight to Bright Sunset — something quieter and more interior set against that piece’s blazing intensity. In the Sunsets and Mornings series, it functions as the morning that follows a difficult night, slowly emerging into the light.
Hand embroidered in cotton thread on cotton fabric, mounted in a 4 inch beechwood hoop. The backing carries a signed wooden disc, a felt lining, and the monogram, title, medium and year inscribed by hand. Comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. Carefully packaged in acid-free tissue and rigid boxing for safe delivery.
