Wood reacts to its environment and so may change shape slightly when placed in hotter or colder temperatures within your home. To care for your bowl an occasional application of beeswax wiped on with a soft dry cloth or paper towel left to sit for a few minutes and then olished of with a clean dry cloth will keep your item in beautiful condition.
