Large Spalted Ash Bowl

British grown Olive ash locally sourced from Dartmoor.
A large shallow wooden bowl hand-turned in Olive Ash wood. This form of Ash is named for its darker stripe-patterning resembling that of Olive wood, giving the wood an interesting colouring and grain pattern, this is a charming bowl which could stand as a display piece or practical storage dish.

The classic, simple design lets the wood do the talking. It has been finished with a cellulose sanding sealer followed by a coat of clear carnauba wax. This gives a wonderfully smooth feel and deep, long-lasting shine.

Hand turned to create a shallow wooden fruit bowl with a thin profile, this bowl is light in the hand and silky smooth to the touch. Finished with a food safe hard wax oil to highlight the beauty of the grain and to improve durability.
