Delivery

each SHUCKED oyster shell is individually selected, cleaned, enhanced with nacre, hand-lettered, varnished for protection and sheen, and then carefully nestled inside a premium gift box, so can take up to 3 days to post. if you’ve selected a golden rim, this takes a little more time, so please allow up to 5 days until posting.

posting can then take up to 2 days. should you require a faster turnaround time, please contact us prior to ordering via [email protected] and we’ll provide a bespoke quote.

note that we currently focus on shipping across the UK. for international shipping inquiries, get in touch before you order via [email protected] for a custom price and timeline.

Returns

we know how it feels when you’re offered credit instead of a refund. feels like you’re being cheated. so that’s not how we roll. if you want a refund and it’s justified, we’ll give you a refund according to our terms on cancellations, returns and exchanges, and damaged or defective items.

Cancellation

cancellations:

we understand that, sometimes, life happens, so we’ll accept order cancellations via [email protected] within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund – no questions asked, apart from “was it something we said?” and “how can we improve in future?”

should you need to cancel after that initial 24-hour period, we may need to ask for a 20% stock recovery fee due to the bespoke nature of our items.

returns and exchanges:

we understand that, sometimes, life happens, so we’ll accept order cancellations via [email protected] within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund – no questions asked, apart from “was it something we said?” and “how can we improve in future?”

we accept returns and exchanges on non-custom orders (so any pre-messaged editions that haven’t been rimmed with gold wax). for returns/exchanges, please contact us via [email protected] within 14 days of delivery. items must be returned within 30 days of delivery, be in their original gift packaging, and be in the same condition as when they were dispatched. buyers are responsible for return postage costs, and for loss in value (as agreed in discussion with us) if an item isn’t returned in original condition.

we’re afraid that, due to the bespoke nature of custom orders (pre-message editions that have had a golden rim applied, or any shell with a personalised message), these items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective. in those cases, please contact us [email protected] within 14 days of delivery and we’ll see what we can do.

note that, while the inner lid of our gift boxes can be personalised, we’re not unreasonable – if your shell is not customised, but the inner lid is, we won’t consider that as a custom order and so the returns and exchanges for non-custom orders will apply.

damaged or defective items:

not all items are the same. natural oyster shells are inherently unique, displaying variations in shape, size, and texture – so, while we always aim to weed out any shells with too many natural imperfections, products will differ from each other and from those pictured in imagery used on our website, social media accounts, and other relevant channels.

but – and it’s a big one – we’re not monsters. if you have a reasonable, justified reason for not being happy with your SHUCKED purchase, please do contact us via [email protected] within 14 days of delivery and tell us what happened. SHUCKED is our baby, our shells are our baby’s babies, and… this is getting weird – what we’re saying is that we genuinely care and want you to be happy with your purchase, so talk to us and we’ll put it right.
