Dog and Snake Velvet Cushion created from my own tapestry design printed onto soft touch velvet.
The Dog and Snake Tapestry is one of the most unusual in my collection. This depicts a dog-like creature which has a large snake entwined around it. Another snake hovers overhead.
It was inspired by a block-print from Central Asia and is sewn in the rich colours
of Kelim Rugs.
The dog is sewn in gold, blue and cream with randomly shaped spots all over.
The background comprises of gold motifs floating on a mixture of two reds sewn seemingly at random.
A broad border with a wave pattern surrounds the whole design.
Perfect for a bedroom, study, or an Arts and Crafts bohemian style home.
The Dog and Snake Tapestry Kit is available in a separate listing. Thd last image in the gallery shows the tapestry cushion as sewn using the tapestry kit.
The reverse is a lovely rich blue velvet envelope style closure.
Comes with a cushion pad that conforms to British Standard.
