I make Hand made Disability Awareness badges and cards
Every item is handcrafted by me, Robert, and inspired by my wife Christine , who is registered blind.
Crafting and dolls house miniatures has always been my wife’s , Christine, greatest love. For years, she poured her heart into making beautiful things, bringing joy to everyone who received one of her creations. When she became blind that passion didn’t disappear, but it did become a source of immense frustration. Living in a world that suddenly felt "invisible" was hard—especially when people in busy shops would constantly walk into her, unaware of her situation. The Severely Sight Impaired, Disability Awareness lanyard badge she inspired changed all that and many more badges for other disabilities were requested. People do care and do help if they are made aware. Today, we’ve turned that frustration into a beautiful mission. My wife is still the creative force; she has all the inspiration and the ideas for all kinds of disability badges and greetings cards, and I am her hands, putting the pieces together for her. She still manages to knit tiny hats for premature babies, from memory, on her own, but with a friend to sew them together. What started as a way to help her has grown into a satisfying hobby. We now offer these badges on various platforms for others facing similar challenges. After the fees and donations to relevant charities , there is very little left to pay for materials and equipment, but we do it because everyone deserves to be seen, and because my wife’s creativity deserves to shine. 10% of every sale goes to a UK charity linked to your purchase, So, thank you for your support and for letting us share our story.
