This beautiful scallop shell has been cleaned and decoupaged with William Morris’ stylish Strawberry Thief design paper napkin.
I finished it with gold paint round the edges and top before adding several coats of heavy duty satin varnish. This varnish gives it a lovely sheen and also protects the design.
A small wooden heart decoration/gift tag is included which would look lovely alongside the shell – perhaps tied to a planter or vase. The dish would be perfect on a dressing table for your jewellery, and can also be used elsewhere in the home, for example, for coins, keys or in the office for paperclips etc. It would add a styish touch used as decoration in any room.
The included matching gift tag would also add an extra special touch if you were giving the dish as a gift. The dish will be wrapped in tissue paper and tied with ribbon (see pic) and will be sent in a sturdy box to protect it.
The shell measures approximately 12 by 10.5cm and I have left it natural on the reverse to appreciate the colours of the shell.
This shell is for indoor use only, and is not to be immersed in water, or put in a dishwasher. To clean, wipe with a dry or damp soft cloth.
Each dish is unique, and the dish and gift tag pictured are exactly what will be sent.
The dish will be posted second class, and at present I only post to the United Kingdom (sorry not Northern Ireland).
