Common Exception Words for Year 1
This is a wooden set of the first 50 common exception words, it is the 45 official ones plus 9 of my own. (Listed as bonus words in the photos.) All the words have been scored onto a wooden 2mm tile, which is 30mm high and around 50mm wide. With the extra ones added, it does now have the harder numbers between one and ten.
Tricky Words
For the Phases 2 to 5, around 40 different words, split into 6 Phase 2 words, 12 Phases 3 words, 14 Phase 4 words and 9 Phase 5 words.
Sight Words
Expectation of the words that children should be able to read to allow them to access the main texts for reception and Year 1 children. Again there are around 50 words.
