Our shop is based in Chudleigh, Devon, and every item we make is unique. We enjoy collecting materials from the beach and enhancing them to produce our treasures. Almost all our materials come from local beaches, but occasionally we use treasures we find on holiday in the U.K. and abroad. Most of our glass comes from old bottles, which gives each piece a unique shape.
We've invented our own methods of tumbling sea glass and beach pottery to smooth them, while retaining their individual shape and character. This enables us to use unusual and colourful materials we find on estuary beaches, as well as typical frosty sea glass from the coast. We use the term "sea glass" for classic sea glass and the term "beach glass" for the glass we've tumbled. We love using recycled materials, knowing that each piece has a story, even though we can only guess what it is!
