I create luxury hand-crafted socks and hot water bottle covers on an original circular sock knitting machine dating from the 1920s. These beautiful vintage machines were once a common sight in homes and small workshops, and I feel privileged to keep this traditional craft alive.
I have owned and worked with my circular sock machine for the past seven years, learning its unique character and mastering the techniques required to produce high-quality knitted items. Each piece is carefully made using a premium yarn blend of 75% Schafpate wool and 25% polyamide. This combination provides the natural warmth, softness and breathability of wool while ensuring excellent durability and machine washability.
Unlike mass-produced knitwear, every item is individually hand finished. The toes and seams are completed using the traditional Kitchener stitch, creating a smooth, comfortable finish that is both attractive and hard-wearing.
I take pride in producing heirloom-quality pieces that combine vintage craftsmanship with modern practicality.
