Sales & Returns Policy
General
The contract for the sale of goods is directly between the buyer and the individual seller whose item you purchase. Crafter’s Market UK (“CMUK”, “we”, “us”, “our”) provides a platform that helps facilitate that contract, including order placement, payment processing, shipping communication, and refunds where necessary.
CMUK is not the seller of any items listed on this website, and we do not manufacture, inspect, fulfil, or guarantee products sold by independent vendors.
Selling
All vendors agree to comply with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and other applicable UK consumer law. Compliance with these regulations, including cancellation rights and refund obligations, is the responsibility of the seller.
Buying
You are responsible for paying for goods you order using the website, by completing the checkout process and authorising payment.
Payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers (such as Stripe) on behalf of CMUK and then transferred to the vendor once fulfilment requirements are met and applicable fees have been deducted.
Returns Policy
Under UK consumer law, buyers generally have the right to cancel a purchase and return goods within 14 days of receiving them, even if the item is not defective.
- Sellers must issue a full refund including the original standard postage cost within 14 days of receiving the returned items or of the buyer providing proof of return postage, whichever is earlier.
- Unless the seller states otherwise, the buyer is responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty.
Some items are exempt from this return right where permitted by law, including personalised or bespoke items, perishable goods that deteriorate rapidly, and sealed personal items where the seal has been broken.
Refund Process
We aim to make refunds as transparent and straightforward as possible.
- A refund request may be started when you contact the vendor or our support team about an order.
- The vendor reviews the request in light of their shop policy and applicable law.
- CMUK may assist with reviewing and verifying the request and ensuring refund processing is ready.
- Refunds are processed through our secure payment partners. Where possible, refunds will be issued from available funds held by the vendor’s account or via CMUK’s payment account if the vendor has not yet been paid.
- If a vendor has already received payment for the order, we may coordinate collecting funds from the vendor before issuing the refund.
Refunds may take 5–10 business days or longer to appear on your original payment method, depending on your bank.
Cancelling an Order
If you wish to cancel an order before goods have been shipped, you should notify the vendor in writing (for example by email) or through the CMUK website as soon as possible.
If goods have not yet shipped, the seller must process a refund within 14 days of receiving the cancellation notice.
Faulty Goods
If goods are faulty or become faulty within six months of receipt, you may be entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement under UK consumer law, subject to the specific circumstances of the fault.
Lost Items
If an item is lost in transit, and this is confirmed, the seller should assume the contract is terminated and either provide a full refund or send a replacement item.
