Hi, I’m Brenda!
Originally from Mexico, I now call England home. My shop has a special story behind it—one that starts with a little stray cat who joined the family.
I found a cat who looked like she needed help. We thought she was a boy and named her Porfirio, but later discovered she was a girl!
With the help of Peterborough Rescue Cats, we had her scanned and learned she was around 10 years old, having spent many years living on the streets. After hearing her story, I knew we couldn’t let her go—she deserved a warm, loving home, so we gave her one.
Caring for an older cat, especially one with a tough life, comes with extra costs. While I have another job, sewing and creating things are my forever hobbies, so I opened this shop to help cover Porfirio’s care.
I’ve sold my handmade pieces online and at a local street market for years, but I had to put it on hold as life got busier.
Still, for Porfirio, I’ve found a way to make time!
Porfirio is a classic tortoiseshell—grumpy and opinionated! She constantly argues with Josefina, our young cat. But despite her diva attitude, she’s very loved, and we want to make sure she gets the best care as she gets older.
