Working N Gauge or 1:148 scale Micro Model Railway Layout in a Box – A Town Park Scene

A Bespoke Three Dimensional N Gauge Railway Diorama made by me.

I have been a skilled scale model maker for a number of years. I only use materials that are of superior quality manufactured by market leaders in scale model scenery.

This is a bespoke micro layout. That means there will only ever be one. It is already built and ready to be dispatched. It is not a layout to be built to order making it a multiple reproduced layout. What you will receive will be unique and you can be safe in the knowledge that you have the only one of it’s kind.

This hand crafted running micro railway layout in a box depicts a town park set around an ancient Neolithic henge or standing stones . The layout features the park with the henge in the middle, a folly, a bandstand, picnic area, a park keeper’s building, a stone cross and stone war memorial. Laid with trees and flowerbeds this is a very interesting and detailed micro layout.

The layout is powered by a 9 volt battery and controlled by the micro controller with variable speed in the bottom left hand corner. There is also a rocker switch to allow the locomotive to move forward or in reverse. Alternatively, the micro layout can be connected to a model railway controller of your choice. I have left sufficient wire from the track power supply to reach a controller. The battery and wiring are concealed in the compartment below the micro controller controls.

A 9 volt battery will be provided with the layout. If the purchaser chooses not to purchase the optional train set then they will have to provide their own small locomotive and rolling stock. I would recommend a 0-4-0 locomotive.

All construction and finishing is done by hand. There are no aerosol sprays or airbrushing used.

Adhesives used are water based with the exception of the adhesive used to glue the Styrofoam sections.

The size of the display is 360mm square and has an approximate height of 140mm.

The display is three dimensional being able to be seen from all side giving a different view.

The box holding the micro layout is a new vinyl long playing record storage box made from MDF wood in a natural colour and hand finished with a Sapeli wood stain and a gloss varnish finish .

The base of the micro layout is made from Styrofoam.

A superb and realistic N gauge display that would look good on a coffee table, on a shelf or on a desk making a nice feature and talking point.

Please note again that this micro layout is unique and will not be repeated so it is a superb artwork for the collector.
