What a fun gift this little pup would make for a friend or family member, or even for yourself 🙂
This is one of our popular ‘Socket spaniels’ so named because of the materials he has been created from, which are of course sockets.
The body and head are mechanics sockets that have outlived their usefulness for the purpose they were intended for so rather than see them going to the landfill or smelting pot we thought we would recycle them into something that might give a bit of pleasure for years more to come.
After a MAJOR clean (as you can imagine mechanics sockets after years of use get pretty darn oily and greasy) we set about welding them together to create the puppy’s body and head, then came the legs and tail which were made from reclaimed clasp nails, again all welded to the body, then comes the fun part which makes this pup come to life …. the face 🙂 which is again reclaimed materials such as nuts, tea spoons and a ball bearing that we painted black as his nose, hopefully you’ll agree all of these reclaimed unused bits and pieces has created a lovely little chap that you can sit on your desk to keep you company throughout the day.

A lovely example of what we here at Rustys Relics have to offer, this would look great in any home and would be a wowzer gift idea for family or friends.
