Description

Inspired by the prayer flags of Tibet which traditionally hang outdoors so that their messages of peace, compassion and wisdom can be blown by the wind to spread their positive messages for the benefit of all.

My happy flags are for indoor use and are stitched onto unbleached calico using techniques such as appliqué, hand and free motion machine embroidery. I use printed fabric, coloured and metallic, threads, beads, sequins and trimmings to produce a unique piece of art which can be hung straight onto the wall without the need for a frame.

Each piece is approximately 13 x 17cm
