I only use high quality 100% cotton on the outside, and a 2oz cotton/polycotton wadding in the middle makes it soft and cosy but not too thick.

Babies love bright colours as they get older, and this is certainly bright and fun. I bought the material originally to make a quilt for a friend’s new baby and they absolutely loved it. Their older child spent hours pointing out the various animals on it, which was an added bonus. I had enough fabric to make another two. One went immediately and this one is still waiting for some special baby to enjoy it.
