I started making this style of bunting when inspired by some local heilan coos! I was initially asked if I made coo bunting by a fellow crafter. This is often how I come up with new crafting projects. We live on a hillside in rural Aberdeenshire and you’ll find me crafting away most days.
I use 100% wool felt for the coo faces as it gives a lovely textured finish.
They are made with poplar ply wood, natural jute string with wooden bead detail. The natural jute string helps to create the rustic look I’m aiming for, for this style.
The string measures approx 1.60/1.70cms end to end. Each string has 5 coo heads. Look out for the one with an eye showing😊.
This set has the brown coos with pinks, teal, light green and off white fringes.
