Description

Handmade wire weave antiqued copper earring and necklace set. I designed this jewellery myself and created the earrings by employing 3 different wire weaves using 28 gauge copper wire. I used the bare 6mm core wire to add 3 decorative swirls and one tight spiral at the top of each earring. I also used the core wire along the inner edge of the two weaves to draw the eye to the wonderful Tourmaline Quartz beads. The black Tourmaline looks beautiful within the milky white Quartz. These quality earrings are fitted with Niobium ear wires and are excellent if you have sensitive skin. They are truly extremely comfortable to wear.

The pendant features a dainty Tulip type weave on its outer edge and I have mirrored the detail found on the earrings by adding two swirls either side of a coiled wire on the top left of this pendant. An 18 inch manufactured, copper colour, Cable link chain with a lobster clasp is attached to the pendant.

The wire weave component of these earrings and pendant have been oxidised by me and then I carefully used wire wool, needle files and mini sanding tools to polish by hand. Afterwards I coated with Everbrite which provides a barrier between the copper and your skin and prevents tarnishing of the jewellery.

Excluding the ear wire length the earrings are 2cm in length. Excluding the length of the bail, the pendant is slightly under 3cm in length.
