Ethiopian Opal Pendant

Description

I have big gorilla fingers like my Dad to create something this delicate and petite I’m as pleased as punch.
This Ethiopian Opal is 8mm wide.
I created a cup for it by using silver bezel wire to make a surround, then soldered that to a piece of silver sheet to create the base.
Once they are soldered together, I saw round them and sand the cup to a smooth finish.
I solder on a loop and jump ring for an 18″ sterling silver chain (made by a professional) to be added.
To complete the pendant, I then begin the process of polishing it to a high shine finish.

The pendant will come in a box with an anti-tarnish strip and polishing cloth.
