Description
The burnt finish of the pine blocks gives an uplift to the natural texture of the wood and a rustic dark red brown colour. The reclaimed nature of wood is embraced in this project and since the wood is recycled it carries various marks, cracks and scars on it which we preserved purposefully in order to maintain the reclaimed character as well as to create a rustic vintage/ industrial vintage style.
The final cover of the wood is with Osmo oil for an extra uplift and better protection.
Cement blocks are also 100% handmade.
The height of each piece is around 27.3cm and the sides are approximately 8.5cm (27.3×8.5×8.5cm). Each bookend weights around 1.67kg.
The bookends come as a pair (2 pieces). -
