This A5 coptic stitch sketchbook/painting journal is stitched with a red waxed linen thread.

Coptic binding is a style of bookbinding which originated in Egypt in the 2nd Century. This method of binding allows the book to sit flat so is perfect for sketchbooks.

This sketchbook has been covered in a pink and purple handmade paper that was made in Nepal.

The paper inside is a thick 220gsm heavy cartridge paper that is acid free and has been sized to allow for extra moisture so is perfect to paint on. A variety of different art media can be used on this paper so if you love painting, pencils, pastels or ink – this notebook will be perfect for your art.

There are 36 pages and the book measures approximately 21.5cm x 15.5cm x 2cm

This notebook is completely handmade. Each page and the cover boards are cut to size one at a time. It is made with the upmost love and care but there may be imperfections due to it not being factory made.
