This A5 coptic stitch sketchbook/painting journal is stitched with a blue waxed linen thread.

Coptic binding is a style of bookbinding which originated in Egypt in the 2nd Century. This method of binding allows the book to sit flat so is perfect for sketchbooks.

This sketchbook has a hardcover that has been covered with handmade green and cream paper. The inside covers are lined with a cream paper which complements the handmade paper.

The paper inside is a thick 220gsm heavy cartridge paper that is acid free and has been sized to allow for extra moisture so is perfect to paint on. A variety of different art media can be used on this paper so if you love painting, pencils, pastels or ink – this notebook will be perfect for your art.

There are 36 pages and the book measures approximately 21.5cm x 15.5cm x 2.3cm

This notebook is completely handmade. Each page and the cover boards are cut to size one at a time. It is made with the upmost love and care but there may be imperfections due to it not being factory made.
